Micro-Bot Parts Kit For Experiments

Stuff You'll Need To Get:

Items you'll need to get that are not included in the Micro-Bot package are things like;

bullet 1 x 9-volt transistor battery for primary Micro-Bot power supply
bullet 4 x AA batteries for main servo power supply
bullet 1 x #1 Philips screwdriver to tighten servo motor mounts & attach wheels to servos
bullet 1 x small flat blade screwdriver for connecting battery wires to power supply input screw-terminals
bullet 1 x PIC programmer for programming the PIC on Micro-Bot
bullet Optional 1 x soldering iron for soldering parts directly onto the Micro-Bot prototyping areas
bullet Optional 1 x SRF04 sonar range-finder [for sonar experiments]

The Micro-Bot circuit board provides in-circuit programming headers, and has been tested with both the EPIC Plus pocket programmer from MeLabs, and the Warp-13a programmer from Newfound Electronics. Other device programmers with support for in-circuit programming should also work, but please check with the manufacturer or your programmer before attempting in-circuit programming. In-circuit programming is explained in the Hardware section HERE.

Note: Any PIC programmer that supports the PIC16F628-20/P microcontroller will work, but you may need to remove the PIC to program it instead of using the in-circuit programming connections. Check your programmers documentation for in-circuit programming capabilities, and instructions.

We carry the EPIC Plus device programmers HERE For a complete list of MeLabs international & U.S. EPIC Plus programmer distributors, check the MeLabs web site HERE.
